Personal Social Health Relationships & Economic Education

From September 2020, the teaching of Relationships and Health Education is statutory in Primary schools. 

At Casterton Primary Academy we have always and continue to teach about relationships, health and living in the wider world. This is  taught as part of the PSHE and Science curriculum, and will focus on the fundamental building blocks and characteristics of positive relationships, with particular reference to friendships, family relationships, and relationships with other children and with adults.

In addition to this Sex Education (non-statutory) is also taught to our children in Year 6. Parents are informed of these lessons prior to them being delivered.
