In some cases, it may be required to provide remote learning for individuals or whole cohorts. At this time, we will work closely with parents, the local authority, health professionals and any other relevant agencies.
This plan may look different due to an individual's own specific circumstances. Where possible, we will use Microsoft Teams to enable children to access video links of the classroom, teaching and educational resources. Where this is not possible, printed learning resources may be more appropriate. In all cases, the school and parents will remain in contact, either in-person, email, phone or video links. We will strive to design the appropriate learning for each pupil.
We're working in partnership with Lancashire Adult Learning to provide family learning at our school.
All parents want their children to do well at school and to succeed. However, many simply don't know where to start. Everything seems to have changed since their own time in education, and they don't want to confuse their child by using different methods to their teacher.
We all know that learning is enhanced when a child continues to learn at home. With Family Learning we can help to increase the knowledge, confidence and skills of parents so that they are able to help their child.
All courses are free of charge and there must be a minimum of 8 families for the course to go ahead. Please see the PDF below for a selection of courses available. If you are interested in attending please contact the school reception.
